St. George, Utah (Apr. 14, 2003) -- Strata announced the shipping of the Japanese version of its powerful Strata 3Dpro v. 3.8 product for designers, illustrators and animators. This new version runs native on Apple’s OS X and OS 9 Kanji system. Strata 3Dpro 3.8J makes it even easier for Japanese creative professionals to model, texture and render their 3D vision using a modern OS supporting multiple processors and protected memory – with an interface familiar to Photoshop and Illustrator users.

According to Keiko Shiino, Marketing Director for Software Too, “Strata 3Dpro 3.8J will provide a new level of power to Japanese artists. This is one upgrade that people have really been looking forward to.”[an error occurred while processing this directive]With the added power and flexibility of version 3.8J the possibilities are extended with:
• Photon light refraction and reflection
• Stochastic sampling for enhanced realism in Raydiosity™
• Toon rendering for quick, high quality cartoon images
• Enhanced deform for modeling and animation effects
• Jiggle enhancements for more realistic motion
• Power user features for streamlined workflow

“Running native in OS X and the new features of version 3.8 make it much easier for me to create outlines in Adobe Illustrator, import them into Strata 3Dpro, create texture maps in Photoshop, and then produce an image that knocks the socks off of my clients. This is the way design workflow should be,” added Dave Winslow, designer and KCAI certified instructor.

Strata 3Dpro supports output in both pixels and true vector formats with JPEG, Flash, EPS, .ai (Illustrator native vector file) and QuickTime, among many more.
Strata 3Dpro 3.7 is available for Microsoft Windows XP.
